The American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham) in Singapore hosted a high-level meeting with a visiting delegation from AmCham Bangladesh, led by its President, Syed Ershad Ahmed, at the AmCham Singapore office today at 12 PM.
The meeting served as a platform for both chambers to exchange insights on shared priorities, including promoting cross-border investment, supporting member companies, and identifying best practices in business facilitation that can be replicated between the two regions.
AmCham Bangladesh expressed its commitment to providing policy advocacy and strategic support to AmCham Singapore member companies operating in Bangladesh—especially those with regional offices based in Singapore—should they encounter regulatory or operational challenges in the Bangladeshi market.
Representing AmCham Singapore at the meeting were Bianca Wong, Vice President of Operations, Southeast Asia, FedEx; James Collison, Technology and Intellectual Property Attorney, Mastercard; Dr. Hsien-Hsien Lei, Chief Executive Officer, and several Board Members and officials.
Joining Syed Ershad Ahmed from the AmCham Bangladesh delegation were Mohammad Rashel Al Mamun, Treasurer; Abu M Rashed Mujib Noman, Executive Committee Member; Rubaba Dowla, Executive Committee Member; Mirza Shajib Raihan, Executive Committee Member; Muhammad Monir Hossain, Founder & CEO of Bdcalling IT Ltd. (AmCham Member); Chowdhury Kaiser Mohammad Riyadh, Executive Director; and Md. Sanowar Hossain, Deputy Secretary.
The meeting marked a step forward in strengthening collaboration between the two chambers in promoting greater business connectivity across Southeast Asia and South Asia.
