Bangladesh’s cloud market is projected to exceed US$45 million in the near future, fueled by the growing integration of artificial intelligence (AI) and cloud-based solutions across diverse business sectors.
The projection was revealed at a workshop titled “Cloud TechWave Bangladesh 2025,” recently organized by Huawei to enhance the technical and service capabilities of local technology service providers.
A team of experts from Huawei’s Asia Pacific regional headquarters led sessions on AI, cloud innovation, and big data technologies. The workshop drew participation from around 100 local ICT professionals.
Among the trainers were Neo Jin Sheng Cason, Senior Solution Architect; Sun Bing, Senior Product Manager; and Xiang Zheng, Cloud Service Engineer. They covered critical topics including databases, AI containers, landing zones, big data, security, and PaaS. The interactive discussions also addressed participants’ day-to-day technical challenges and aimed to support the ongoing modernization of Bangladesh’s digital infrastructure.
Haven Lin, Board Member of Huawei South Asia, said, “Bangladesh is moving fast towards modernization. In this journey, cloud and AI technologies play a significant role, which is vital for the country’s future. We aim to strengthen the nation’s ICT infrastructure to ensure inclusion and innovation-driven growth across various technology-based industries. Organizing workshops like this is part of our commitment to upskilling professionals and supporting organizations in this sector.”
Shamsul Alam Nizami, Chief Digital Officer at Flora Telecom Limited, added, “Huawei Cloud TechWave Bangladesh 2025 enabled us to learn about the latest advancements in cloud technology and AI. It has deepened our understanding of integrating cloud solutions into our ICT infrastructure.” Huawei continues to lead in the hybrid cloud segment, holding the No. 1 position in Thailand, Bangladesh, and Hong Kong. In Bangladesh, HUAWEI CLOUD has achieved major milestones, including launching the country’s first e-government cloud in collaboration with the Bangladesh Computer Council (BCC) and the first hybrid cloud platform for telecom operator Robi. Huawei is also delivering AI and cloud-based solutions across multiple industries nationwide.
