The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has set the consumer-level price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) for the current month of March, keeping the rate unchanged.
In a notification, BERC said the price of the widely used 12kg LPG cylinder has been maintained at Tk 1,341 for March.
According to a notification issued on 2 March 2026, the commission set the consumer-level retail price of private LPG at Tk 111.74 per kg (including VAT). The adjustment follows Saudi Aramco’s declared contract prices of $545 per metric tonne for propane and $540 per metric tonne for butane, based on a propane–butane mix ratio of 35:65, yielding an average price of $541.75 per metric tonne.
Under the revised rates, the widely used 12kg LPG cylinder has been priced at Tk 1,341 (including VAT) for March. Prices for other cylinder sizes have been adjusted proportionately.
For reticulated systems, BERC fixed the consumer price of private LPG supplied in liquid form at Tk 107.99 per kg, while gas supplied in gaseous form has been set at Tk 0.2399 per litre or Tk 239.90 per cubic metre.
The commission also set the retail price of autogas at Tk 61.83 per litre (including VAT).
The announcement to keep the price unchanged was made on Monday (2 March). The regulator said the new rate would take effect from 6:00 pm the same day.
The last adjustment to LPG prices was made on 23 February, when the commission reduced the price of a 12kg cylinder by Tk 15 to the current level of Tk 1,341.
