To meet the country’s growing energy demand, the government of Bangladesh has approved the import of one cargo of liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United Kingdom through the international spot market at a cost of Tk 621.84 crore.
The approval came during a meeting of the Advisers Council Committee on Government Purchase (ACCGP), held on Tuesday at the Secretariat.
The meeting was chaired by Finance Advisor to the Chief Adviser Dr Salehuddin Ahmed.
