Huawei unveils 10 megatrends shaping the intelligent world by 2035

Huawei has released two new reports – the Intelligent World 2035 Report and the Global Digitalization and Intelligence Index 2025 Report – outlining 10 major technology megatrends expected to transform industries and societies over the next decade.

Unveiling the reports, Huawei’s Executive Director of the Board David Wang said technological exploration has always driven human progress. “Generative AI is opening up possibilities we couldn’t imagine before. We must continue looking towards the future and build new scientific visions and assumptions,” he noted.

The Intelligent World 2035 Report is the outcome of over two years of research, including more than 200 workshops and consultations with over 100 global experts, scholars, customers, and partners. Drawing on data from institutions such as the United Nations and the World Economic Forum, it identifies 10 megatrends that will define the intelligent era, including Artificial General Intelligence (AGI), AI Agents, Human-AI Programming, Human-Computer Interaction, AI-Driven Apps, Autonomous Vehicles, Next-Gen Computing, AI Storage Boom, Agentic Internet, and Green AI-Powered Energy.

Huawei predicts that by 2035, AI will play a pivotal role in daily life, preventing more than 80% of chronic diseases through proactive monitoring and enabling intelligent robots in over 90% of Chinese households.

Alongside the Intelligent World 2035 Report, Huawei also launched the Global Digitalization and Intelligence Index (GDII), an upgrade to its earlier Global Digitalization Index. The GDII integrates economic, social, and ICT factors to better capture how nations can leverage digital transformation and AI to drive growth.
