In a major reshuffle of top positions in state-run energy companies, Petrobangla has appointed three senior engineers as managing directors of its key subsidiaries.
According to an official order issued on April 13, Engineer Md. Fazlul Haque, who previously served as General Manager (Planning) at Bangladesh Gas Fields Company Limited (BGFCL), has been appointed as the Managing Director of Bangladesh Petroleum Exploration and Production Company Limited (BAPEX).
Engineer Md. Harun Bhuiyan, formerly the General Manager (Operations) at Gas Transmission Company Limited (GTCL), will now lead Rupantarita Prakritik Gas Company Limited (RPGCL) as its new Managing Director.
Meanwhile, Engineer Md. Faruq Hossain, who was serving as General Manager (Maintenance) at Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited, has been made the Managing Director of BGFCL.
Additionally, outgoing BAPEX Managing Director Engineer Md Shoyed has been promoted and appointed as Director (PSC) at Petrobangla.
These appointments have been made in the public interest and are effective immediately. The newly appointed officials are instructed to take over their respective responsibilities without delay, as per the directives from Petrobangla.
