A Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) was signed on Monday between Petrobangla and Bangladesh Krishi Bank (BKB) to facilitate 50% of the invoice payments for liquefied natural gas (LNG) imported from QatarEnergy under a long-term contract. The signing ceremony took place at Petrobangla Centre in the capital.
Petrobangla Secretary Md. Amzad Hossain and Ashish Kumar Das, Deputy General Manager of Bangladesh Krishi Bank’s Kawran Bazar Corporate Branch, signed the MoU on behalf of their respective organisations.
The ceremony was presided over by Petrobangla’s Director (Finance), A.K.M. Mizanur Rahman. Also present were Golam Md. Arif, General Manager of BKB Dhaka Division; Md. Abdul Jalil, General Manager (Accounts) of Petrobangla; and other senior officials from both organisations.
