Gas consumers in areas served by Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited will face severe low pressure until midnight on Sunday (16 February) due to reduced liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply caused by maintenance work at a terminal, the company said on Saturday.
In a press release issued on 15 February, the state-run distributor said the temporary shutdown of one LNG terminal had sharply cut the volume of re-gasified LNG being fed into the national grid, affecting downstream supply.
“As a result, severe low gas pressure will prevail at the consumer end across all categories in the Titas franchise area until midnight on 16 February 2026,” the statement said.
The company apologised for the inconvenience and sought customers’ cooperation during the maintenance period.
Titas Gas did not disclose when the maintenance work began or how much supply had been reduced, but said gas pressure would return to normal once the terminal resumes operations.
Titas Gas supplies natural gas to households, industries, power plants and commercial establishments across greater Dhaka and surrounding areas.
