A day-long workshop titled “Project Implementation Challenges and Way Forward, and Lessons Learned from Completed Projects under BPC” was held recently at the premises of Eastern Refinery Limited (ERL) in Chattogram.
The event was organised by the Bangladesh Petroleum Corporation (BPC).
The workshop was conducted under the guidance of the Secretary of EMRD Mohammed Saiful Islam and with the active supervision and support of the Chairman of BPC Amin Ul Ahsan, said an official release.
This was the first-ever initiative of its kind in the history of EMRD, where officials and staff involved in different projects exchanged experiences, discussed challenges in implementation, and outlined future strategies.
Mohammad Saiful Islam, Secretary of EMRD, attended the event as Chief Guest, while Md. Amin Ul Ahsan, Chairman (Secretary) of BPC, presided over the session.
Project directors (PDs), project staff, managing directors of BPC’s affiliated companies, and officials from EMRD’s Planning Wing and other departments were present.
In recognition of their successful completion of projects, the Secretary of EMRD presented crests and certificates to the project directors of the Chattogram-Dhaka Pipeline (CDPL), Single Point Mooring (SPM), and Custody Flow Meter projects.
Throughout the day, project directors and officials shared their experiences, lessons learned, and recommendations for future initiatives. The strategic guidance and practical advice provided by the EMRD Secretary and BPC Chairman are expected to serve as game-changers in ensuring the successful implementation of upcoming projects.
With this initiative, the Energy and Mineral Resources Division reaffirmed its commitment to establishing itself as a “real change-maker,” ensuring that public funds deliver maximum value through successful project implementation.
