Grameenphone has launched OneAI, an artificial intelligence platform on its MyGP app that brings several leading AI models and tools together under a single interface.
The telecom operator said the platform is aimed at making AI tools more accessible and affordable to users in Bangladesh, particularly students, by allowing them to access multiple services through a single subscription.
OneAI brings together AI models including ChatGPT, Claude, Grok, DeepSeek and Gemini, according to the company.
Users can use the platform for a range of tasks, including research, content writing, coding and software development, creative work, image generation, and document analysis and summarisation.
The service was launched at an event at GP House in Dhaka on Thursday to mark Grameenphone’s AI&I Day.
Rehan Asif Asad, adviser to the Prime Minister for the Ministry of Posts, Telecommunications and Information Technology, formally announced the launch in the presence of Grameenphone Chief Executive Officer Yasir Azman, members of the company’s management team and employees.
Speaking at the event, Asad said wider adoption of AI would be important for Bangladesh’s economic and technological development. He encouraged Grameenphone to continue initiatives that make AI tools more accessible, particularly to students.
“AI cannot be overlooked” as it is reshaping economies, industries and societies globally, he said, adding that affordable access to AI could help students with learning, research and skill development.
Azman said the launch represented the next phase of Grameenphone’s AI strategy, with AI increasingly being integrated into the company’s operations and customer services.
“AI is no longer experimental for us,” Azman said, noting its use in areas ranging from autonomous networks and personalisation to AI-powered customer service.
He said Grameenphone wanted to extend access to AI beyond its own operations through OneAI, particularly for students and other users seeking tools for learning, work, creativity and problem-solving.
Grameenphone said OneAI can be accessed directly through the MyGP app, with users able to purchase packages using their mobile balance. Student packages start at Tk 71 a month, according to the company, and include unlimited AI chat as well as support for research, assignments, presentations and coding.
The launch comes as technology companies and telecom operators in Bangladesh increasingly seek to expand consumer access to generative AI services, while reducing the need for users to subscribe separately to multiple AI platforms.
