After a sharp fall of Tk 10,474 on Tuesday, gold prices in Bangladesh have rebounded—rising by Tk 8,900 per bhori. Starting Thursday, the price of 22-carat gold will be Tk 202,709 per bhori, the Bangladesh Jewellers Association (BAJUS) announced in a press release on Wednesday night.
According to BAJUS, the latest price adjustment was made following an increase in the price of pure (tejaabi) gold in the local market.
Under the revised rates, 21-carat gold will sell for Tk 193,506 per bhori, 18-carat gold for Tk 165,862, and traditional gold for Tk 137,845 per bhori.
Silver prices remain unchanged. The price of 22-carat silver stands at Tk 4,246 per bhori, 21-carat at Tk 4,047, 18-carat at Tk 3,476, and traditional silver at Tk 2,601 per bhori.
