EDOTCO Bangladesh unveils cutting-edge Tower Operation Center

EDOTCO Bangladesh, the country’s leading integrated telecommunications infrastructure provider, has launched its newly modernised 5G-ready Tower Operation Center (TOC) in Dhaka.

This state-of-the-art facility serves as a real-time monitoring hub, enabling seamless management of telecom towers nationwide with enhanced operational efficiency, connectivity, and energy optimisation.

The TOC was jointly inaugurated by Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) Chairman Major General (retd) Md Emdad ul Bari, the High Commissioner of Malaysia to Bangladesh Mohd Shuhada Othman, and the Managing Director of EDOTCO Bangladesh, Sunil Issac.

Major General (Retd) Md Emdad ul Bari emphasized the importance of connectivity in today’s rapidly evolving digital era, stating, “While expanding connectivity is crucial, fostering an ecosystem that supports modern, technology-driven operational facilities is equally important. This aligns with the broader vision of building a sustainable and resilient telecom infrastructure in Bangladesh.”

He commended EDOTCO’s efforts in advancing industry standards through state-of-the-art tower operations, noting the company’s valuable role in setting a benchmark for the sector.

He further expressed hope that EDOTCO Bangladesh would continue to adopt innovative strategies and operational excellence, contributing to reliable, high-quality services in the telecom industry and ensuring seamless connectivity for all.

Mohd Shuhada Othman remarked, “We are proud to see a government-linked investment company excelling and contributing to other nations. Over the past decade, EDOTCO has been at the forefront of innovation and played a pivotal role in Bangladesh’s digital transformation. With a young, tech-savvy population and a growing digital economy, Bangladesh has immense potential to become a regional digital hub.”

He added that Malaysia, through EDOTCO, is committed to sharing expertise to fast-track Bangladesh’s connectivity goals, and the success of their collaboration could serve as a model for the country’s telecom development.

Sunil Issac expressed his pride in the TOC, calling it a significant milestone for the industry. “This digital, data-driven facility optimizes tower operations, ensures network reliability, and supports Bangladesh’s digital transformation agenda. We remain committed to empowering communities and driving economic progress through robust telecom infrastructure.”
