The Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has announced a downward adjustment in the price of Jet A-1 fuel for both domestic and international airlines, effective from today.
For domestic airlines, the price of Jet A-1 fuel has been reduced by Tk 17.43 per litre — from Tk 111.00 to Tk 93.57.

Padma Oil Company, the exclusive distributor of jet fuel to airlines in the country, has also adjusted its sales charge to Tk 0.88 per litre.
BPC had proposed the price adjustment for Jet A-1 fuel on February 18, following which the regulatory commission held a public hearing on March 23 to evaluate the proposal.
The country’s daily demand for jet fuel stands at approximately 9,000 barrels.
