State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid on Monday said the
government will formulate roadmap to increase the use of artificial intelligence (AI) along with modern technology in power and energy sector.
“Artificial intelligence will play vital role in building knowledge-based society. Engineers should play responsible role in increasing the use of technology at every level in work field specially power and energy sector,” he said.
He was addressing the closing ceremony of a seminar styled “The Engineers for Transforming Technology Driven Smart Bangladesh” at Engineers Institution, Bangladesh.
He urged the engineers to use technology as the strength for making welfare of the people to build a developed country.
At least 10 articles were presented in the seminar while Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) Professor Dr Engineer Munaz Ahmed Noor presented the keynote paper.
IEB President Engineer Md Abdus Sabur, chaired the function while IEB General Secretary
Engineer SM Manjurul Haque Manju also spoke.
