The Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited observed World Environment Day-2024 with the theme “Land restoration, desertification and drought resilience” as part of the global campaign #GenerationRestoration successful.
The Company conducted tree plantation programmes adjacent the power plant site and participated a rally organised by the Deputy Commissioner Office Narayanganj.
The Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited also distributed 775 tree saplings among the stakeholders.
To create awareness among students and local people, it has organized innovative garden development concept competition and tree plantation programmes in three schools adjacent the Power Plant.
Attended at these programmes, the employees of the organisation along with the officials from the contractor Samsung C&T Corporation pledged together to upheld environmental conservation as priority, plant trees and restore land, reduce, reuse and recycle to reduce carbon footprint and advocate the importance of greening and protecting nature.
Reliance Bangladesh LNG & Power Limited has installed a 718 MW (Net) capacity combined cycle power plant at Meghnaghat, Sonargaon, Narayanganj.
