EMRD introduces Truepresence to ensure accurate attendance tracking of its officials

The Energy and Mineral Resources Division has introduced a modern attendance management software system, Truepresence, to ensure accurate and transparent tracking of attendance for its officers and employees.

Energy and Power Adviser Muhammad Fauzul Kabir Khan formally inaugurated the software at a meeting organized by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division, held today at Bijoy Hall in Dhaka.

Speaking as the chief guest, the Adviser stated that the Truepresence system is planned to be rolled out across all organizations and companies under the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
“If the system proves to be effective and consistent, it could serve as a model for other government sectors,” he added.

He emphasized that this initiative will enhance transparency and accountability in government operations and contribute significantly to the digital transformation of public services.

Highlighting investment opportunities in Bangladesh, the Adviser noted the country’s strong and evolving relationship with Saudi Arabia. He expressed gratitude to Saudi-registered company SDM and all related departments of the Energy and Mineral Resources Division for their cooperation in launching the software.

Speaking as a special guest, Dr. Salwa Abdullah F. Alhajja, CEO of SDM, expressed her company’s honor in collaborating with the EMRD on software development. She stated that Truepresence will support proper monitoring and control of attendance, contributing to the efficiency of the EMRD and ultimately to Bangladesh’s national economy.

In his remarks as a special guest, Abdulaziz Fahad M. Al Ibrahim, Charge d’Affaires of Saudi Arabia in Bangladesh, said the software would play a crucial role in ensuring data security and user privacy in line with global standards. He also noted its usefulness for real-time reporting and oversight at the ministry level.

Chairing the event, EMRD Secretary Mohammad Saiful Islam stated that the initiative was based on a proposal from SDM and was implemented without any financial cost to the government.
“This initiative was undertaken to provide a secure and efficient attendance management solution,” he said, adding that the system’s successful development was made possible by the active participation of EMRD officials.

He also mentioned that the core development of the software is being carried out by Bangladeshi developers, with logistical support provided by the Energy and Mineral Resources Division.
