Bangladesh’s leading mobile financial services provider bKash has introduced a simplified payment system allowing customers to subscribe seamlessly to a range of popular over-the-top (OTT) entertainment platforms through its digital payment network.
Users can now subscribe to streaming services including Chorki, Hoichoi, Bongo, Deepto Play and iScreen using bKash payments, enabling access to a growing catalogue of films, dramas and web series from home.
The company said viewers would be able to watch popular titles including Bonolota Express, Domm, Taandob and Cactus through the subscription services.
As part of promotional campaigns, customers subscribing to Hoichoi via bKash will receive a cashback of BDT100 on payments of at least BDT700 until 15 June 2026. Each customer can avail the offer once during the campaign period.
Meanwhile, subscribers to Chorki will receive 10 per cent cashback, up to BDT50, on payments of at least BDT300 made through bKash until 10 June 2026. Customers can also enjoy similar promotional cashback offers on subscriptions to Bongo and Deepto Play.
The company said customers can directly subscribe to streaming services through the “Subscription” section of the bKash app by selecting their preferred platform and completing payment digitally. Subscriptions can also be completed through payment gateways using bKash.
OTT platforms have witnessed rapid growth in Bangladesh in recent years as audiences increasingly shift towards on-demand digital entertainment across multiple devices. Industry analysts say easier digital payment options and promotional incentives are helping accelerate the adoption of streaming services in the country.
