The government has cut the fuel oil prices by Tk 1.25-Tk 6 per litre for the month of September considering downward price trends in the international market.
After downward adjustment of fuel prices in the market, diesel and kerosene price will be Tk 105.50 per litre.
Besides, the petrol and octane prices will be at Tk 121 and at Tk 125 respectively.
The announcement of the new tariffs structure came from Energy, Road Transport and Railway Adviser Muhammad Fouzul Kabir Khan during his visit at Rupsha 800MW Combined Cycle Power Plant in Khulna’s Khalishpur on Saturday.
After the announcement, the Ministry of Power, Energy and Mineral Resources also issued a gazette notification in this regard.
Earlier, the government declared to cut fuel oil prices from September to control high inflation.
