Excelerate Energy (NYSE: EE) announced the completion of its 3,000th LNG ship-to-ship (STS) transfer on December 28, 2024.
The operation took place aboard the company’s floating storage and regasification unit (FSRU), Excellence, at the Moheshkhali Floating LNG (MLNG) terminal in Bangladesh.
“This milestone reflects our commitment to safety, reliability, and innovation in the LNG sector,” said David Liner, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer.
Excelerate’s CEO, Steven Kobos, emphasized the significance of this achievement in Bangladesh, where the company supplies over a third of the nation’s natural gas.
He also expressed gratitude toward the Excellence crew and partners for their contributions in reaching this important milestone.
The MLNG terminal, a joint venture between Excelerate Energy and the International Finance Corporation, plays a vital role in Bangladesh’s energy security.
With a capacity of 600 million standard cubic feet of gas per day, it supports the country’s industrial growth and sustainable development.
