Bangladesh Oil, Gas and Mineral Corporation (Petrobangla) has issued a warning to the public regarding fraudulent recruitment attempts involving fake appointment letters.
In an official press release, Petrobangla stated that it has recently come to their attention that a group of fraudsters has been issuing fake appointment letters using plain paper, bearing the name, address, and forged reference numbers and signatures of Petrobangla’s head office.
These deceptive activities are an attempt to mislead job seekers.
Petrobangla emphasised that all recruitment processes are conducted online.
At present, recruitment is ongoing for candidates who have been initially recommended under the central recruitment process for Petrobangla and its affiliated companies.
Once this process is completed, final appointment letters will be issued and officially announced on Petrobangla’s website (www.petrobangla.org.bd) and through SMS notifications to the selected candidates’ mobile numbers.
The organisation strongly urged everyone not to engage in any kind of financial transaction based on these fraudulent appointment letters. For any recruitment-related information, individuals are advised to consult Petrobangla’s official website or contact the head office directly, it said.
