The Ministry of Power, Energy, and Mineral Resources has announced a reduction in diesel and kerosene prices, aligning with global oil market trends.
Effective January 1, 2025, the retail price of diesel and kerosene will decrease by Tk 1 per litre, reducing the cost from Tk 105 to Tk 104 per litre.
The announcement was detailed in a circular issued today by Mohammad Shafiullah, the ministryās Information and Public Relations Officer.
Meanwhile, the prices of octane and petrol will remain unchanged at Tk 125 and Tk 121 per litre, respectively.
This price adjustment is intended to make energy more affordable for consumers while adhering to a pricing formula that reflects fluctuations in the international market.
