DPDC issues specific guidelines to prevent power outages

DPDC has issued specific guidelines for its consumers to prevent power outages.

As per the guideline, set air conditioners to a temperature above 25°C in mosques, shopping malls, departmental stores, residential buildings, and other commercial establishments.

The distribution company also asked to use energy-efficient devices to minimise wastage.

The Limit of electricity usage in shops, malls, petrol pumps, and CNG stations to essential needs only.

It also requested to keep curtains open during the day to utilise sunlight and avoid decorative lighting.

The DPDC also asked to refrain from using re-rolling mills, washing machines, welding machines, ovens, and irons during peak hours.

The authority also asked to avoid unauthorised charging of electric bikes and auto-rickshaws. Keep rooftop solar systems operational in residential areas.

The distribution company also requested to use standard-compliant electrical appliances to ensure safety.

In case of power disruptions, DPDC has requested consumers to cooperate patiently and contact the DPDC hotline at 16116 for assistance.
