Country’s power generation has eyewitness new record to 16233-megawatts (MW) thanks to more electricity generation from gas fired and liquid fuel based power plants to meet growing demand of the electricity due to excessive hit waves.
Besides, one of the highest power import from Indian Adani’s Jharkhand power also made it possible.
According to the ministry of power energy and mineral resources, the record was made at 9:00pm on Monday.
According to NLDC sources, out of 16233 MW total generation,
7560MW comes from gas-fired one, 3439MW from liquified plants and 4415MW from Adani’s Jharkhand, Matarbari, Rampal and Pyara coal-fired plants.
Adani alone contributes 1505MW from the coal-fired plants.
Another, 749MW of electricity comes from electricity import from Tripura and Baharampur grids, official confirmed.
Despite hit waves, the soar power has no contribution of the record generation, official confirmed.
The Kaptai Hydroelectric power plant has contributed 70MW of electricity.
Earlier, the country had witnessed the record power generation of 15,666MW on Sunday.
